I am so glad you are here. This agreement is really just a way for us both to be clear about what we are stepping into together – think of it as our roadmap for the journey ahead.

This is not about me being the expert who fixes you because you are not broken. This is about us working together to help you access the incredible wisdom that is already inside you. I am here as your guide, your supporter, and someone who genuinely understands the journey of personal transformation.

This agreement is made between you, the amazing human ready for change, and me, Zoe Blackbourn, your hypnotherapist who knows what real transformation looks like.

What to Expect in Our Sessions

I use modern hypnotherapy which combines hypnotherapy with other powerful techniques like NLP, CBT, and insights from neuroscience. Some people call this approach RTT or Rapid Transformational Therapy®, and while I am trained in those techniques, what matters most is that it works.

Here is what a typical session looks like:

  • We will start by talking about what you are experiencing and what you would love to shift or change.​

  • I will guide you into a deeply relaxed state using hypnosis. You will feel calm and peaceful – most people describe it as really lovely.

  • Together, we will explore memories and moments that shaped the beliefs you are carrying today.

  • I will use proven methods and suggestions to help rewire those old patterns and create new, empowering beliefs.

  • I will gently bring you back to full awareness. Most people feel refreshed, lighter, and genuinely hopeful.

Important Things You Should Know

You Are Always in Control

Let me be really clear about this - when you are in hypnosis, you are fully in control. You will not do anything you do not want to do, you will not reveal anything you do not want to share, and if you need to, you can bring yourself out of the hypnotic state at any time. Hypnosis only works when you are open to it - you cannot be hypnotized against your will.

When Hypnotherapy Is Not Right

Please do not use hypnotherapy if you have been diagnosed with psychosis or a personality disorder such as bipolar disorder, as it could potentially make things worse. If you are unsure about whether hypnotherapy is right for you, please speak with your doctor or mental health professional first.

The Reality of Transformation

I wish I could guarantee specific outcomes, but the truth is that everyone's journey is unique. What I can promise is that I will show up fully for you, bring all my skills and experience, and be 100 percent committed to supporting your transformation.

​Sometimes during our work together, we might need to look at uncomfortable memories or feel some challenging emotions. That is part of the process. Change can feel messy, confusing, or even a bit scary at times - but that is often a sign that real transformation is happening.

Medical Note

Hypnotherapy is not a replacement for medical treatment. Please do not stop or change any medication or treatment without speaking to your doctor first. If you have any concerns about your physical or mental health, please consult with a qualified medical professional before we begin.

Think of this as a partnership. We are both bringing something important to the table, and the magic happens when we work together.

What I Am Asking From You

​

  • Focus on what you want, not what you are trying to escape. Let's move toward something, not just away from something.

  • Show up for your appointments. Your commitment matters – to yourself and to this process.

  • Listen to your personalized audio for at least 21 days. This is where so much of the transformation happens.

  • Be honest and open with me. I cannot help you navigate if I do not know where you really are.

  • Be willing to hear feedback and maybe be challenged a little, always with love and respect.

  • Take responsibility for your journey. I am your guide, but you are the one taking the steps.

What You Can Expect From Me

  • 100 percent commitment to your transformation and your goals.

  • I will be there for every appointment, fully present and focused on you.

  • I will really listen to you – not just to respond, but to truly understand.

  • Zero judgment. Your thoughts, feelings, and experiences are valid, full stop.

  • I will help you explore your own wisdom without imposing my views or beliefs on you.

  • Empathy always. I have walked my own transformation journey, and I remember what that feels like.

My Professional Promise

As a hypnotherapist, I follow the professional code of ethics and standards that govern our work. I will always act with integrity, responsibility, competence, respect, and professionalism. You can review the applicable standards at any time – just ask me.

The Practical Stuff

How We Will Connect

All our sessions will be held online via Zoom, so you can be in the comfort of your own space. Make sure you are somewhere private and comfortable where you will not be interrupted.

​

Scheduling and Timing

​

We will agree on session dates and times together, and at the end of each session, we will schedule the next one. How many sessions you need is something we will discuss in our first session - everyone's journey is different.

Life happens, I get it. If you need to reschedule, just give me at least 48 hours notice and we will find another time that works. If you cancel with less than 48 hours notice or do not show up, I might need to count that as your session - unless there is a genuine emergency or exceptional circumstance.

Between Sessions

​

If you need to reach me between sessions, you can email or message me anytime. I will get back to you within 24 hours. You are not alone in this.

​

Investment and Payment

​

The investment for your session or package is [XXX]. You can pay in full upfront, or we can arrange a payment plan after you have paid a deposit to secure your spot – just let me know what works best for you.

Your Privacy Matters

What Stays Between Us

​

Everything you share with me in our sessions is completely confidential. What we talk about stays between us – that is a promise.

​

The only times I would ever need to break confidentiality are if:

​

  • There is a life-threatening situation or you are in imminent danger

  • I am required by law to share information

​

Session Notes

​

I keep notes from each session to track your progress, key insights, and any actions we have agreed on. This helps us both see how far you have come and keeps us accountable to your goals. These notes are private and are just for us.

​

I will not share anything from our sessions with anyone without your permission. For more details about how I handle your personal information, please check out my Privacy Policy.

Checking In and Feedback

​

Throughout our time together, I want you to feel comfortable telling me what is working and what is not. Your feedback helps me support you better. This is your journey, and your voice matters.

​

If Things Are Not Working

​

I really hope we will have an amazing journey together, but if for any reason you feel like things are not working or the relationship is not right, let us talk about it openly. If we both agree that it is best to part ways, either of us can end this agreement with one week written notice. No hard feelings - sometimes the fit just is not right, and that is okay.

Before We Begin

As part of our intake process, I will ask you to confirm that you have read and agree to my Privacy Policy, Complaints Policy, and Terms and Conditions of Service. This is just to make sure we are both on the same page and that you are protected throughout our work together.
